Backstory

My name is Sitawa, and I am a blogger & mental health advocate. Compliments on my earrings inspired me to begin handcrafting pieces to sell. To reach a wider audience, I launched this online store—Kibanda means "store" in Swahili— which has since grown to include pieces sourced from women back home, Pre-owned books by Pan-African authors, Afro-inspired posters & cards, and Language & Culture services.
